World Pinhole Day 2009

It’s coming up to that time of year again, the time for World Pinhole Day. This year it is on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Last year there were over 2000 participants throughout 60 countries. I’ve entered for the last two years running, and providing I can  resurrect my Polaroid Pinhole camera (made with a Mamiya Medium Format Polaroid back), I’ll be entering it again.

It’s worth checking out the site, as there are some workshops organised throughout the year  and meets organised for Pinhole day. (Anyone fancy sponsoring me for the workshop in São Paulo?)

Not got your own pinhole camera? Well there are plenty of tutorials out there on that there internet. Tutorials for DSLR conversion and ones for tins and cans and of course you can also buy plenty such as here and here.

  1. like the timeless dreamy effect you get with these things.

thought it worth mentioning that anyone with a lensbaby composer, muse or control freak (the new generation) can get a pin-hole optic for the baby.

it’s effectively F177…. which may make calculating exposures interesting to say the least!
